Why Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi Is More Than Just a CGDCT Anime

Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi is a slice-of-life anime that revolves around a village of young female ninjas in training and their daily lives. This anime is created by Souichirou Yamamoto, the creator of Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san. The plot follows the strict code that guides the many kunoichi in training, where the most important rule they must adhere to is to never interact with men, for they are far too dangerous to be trusted.

Tsubaki is the leader of Team Dog and has many duties she must handle. Despite being a skilled trainee, she begins to react strangely whenever the topic of men surfaces. Unaware of what mysterious feelings are taking over her heart, Tsubaki's growing curiosity soon interferes with her ability to keep up with her work.

One of the most interesting things about this anime is that it has a plot about men, yet we have no chance to see men at all. The manga version is almost finished, but this story still doesn't show the face of a man. This fact will make people who come to watch this story because they want to see the Yuri scene, don't have to worry about having a male character appear in the story.

The show is separated into two short storylines, each of which focuses on a different team, excluding the anime original finale episode. The Dog Squad, led by Tsubaki, is central to the plot of the show. What is nice about this show is that the character interactions, the funny humor and gags, and the occasional "otoko" tease moments don't seem forced and never fail to put a smile on the viewers' faces. Despite the fact that each episode has little to no plot because the show is essentially CGDCT with added comedy, we can see the characters grow, learn more about their backgrounds, and how they came to be the way they are.

The ratings do not do the overall quality of the show and the enjoyment each episode provides its viewers justice. The show isn't for everyone, but it does a good job for the audience it is aimed at. I would strongly recommend people who are both not and are fans of these types of anime to give it a try. The show will not disappoint you.

Overall, Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi is an enjoyable anime that provides a different take on the ninja genre. The characters are unique and lovable, and the humor and gags are well done. If you're a fan of CGDCT or slice-of-life anime, this is definitely worth checking out.
